Chevrolet Metro Mini Overview
The Metro was an inexpensive 2-door coupe or 4-door sedan.
Featuring a 1.3L I-4 engine or a 1.0L I-3 engine, the Chevrolet Metro powers out 79 hp @ 6000 rpm with 75 lb-ft. of torque @ 3000 rpm or 55 hp @ 5700 rpm with 58 lb-ft. of torque @ 3300 rpm respectively, depending on the engine size. The 1.3L I-4 engine is only available with the LSi trim level on both the coupe and the sedan.
Gas mileage with the Metro was great, with the LSi providing 30 mpg of city driving and 34 mpg of highway driving when equipped with the 3-speed automatic transmission, and 36 mpg and 42 mpg for city and highway driving, respectively, when attached to the 5-speed manual.
The base model has an increase of gas mileage by 3 mpg. Standard features on the front-wheel coupe or sedan include independent front and rear suspension, dual front airbags, and front disc and rear drum brakes. Additionally, air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, and power steering can all be added.
